Development Plan
The fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and information science are characterized by rapid and constant development. In addition to adhering to the founding teaching principles, our college actively develops integrated research groups to enhance R&D capabilities, aiming to advance international academic exchanges. Our graduates have received high praise in academia and industry, with many achieving excellent results in various practical competitions during their studies. Based on our current teaching and research achievements, our short-term development plan is as follows: |
1. Hiring Highly Qualified Professors: We aim to recruit professors with high academic standing. By inviting well-known scholars from both domestic and international institutions to join our faculty, we not only enhance our teaching quality but also provide opportunities for mutual growth and learning among our faculty members.
2. Enhancing Undergraduate Education: We will emphasize continuous improvement in teaching quality and the development of practical laboratory skills. For our graduate programs, we aim to strengthen the cultivation of professional talent and innovative academic research, striving to meet international academic standards and contribute to national development by nurturing research talents.
3. Upgrading Teaching Equipment: We plan to gradually update our teaching facilities to support teaching and encourage research. By consolidating smart technology shared laboratories, we maximize the utilization and sharing of our resources, adhering to the principle of "teaching first, research second," and annually enhancing our teaching and research equipment in line with our educational goals.
4. Curriculum Reform: We encourage departments to revise their curricula in response to modern technological education trends. In addition to professional courses, we emphasize the integration of technology and professional ethics training. To effectively implement holistic education and underscore the importance of ethics, we will actively plan courses related to character education and professional ethics to meet future workplace demands.
5. Research Integration with Practice: Our research will focus on practical applications, gradually forming collaborations among industry, government, academia, and research institutes. We will engage faculty from various fields in team-based research projects, fostering collective brainstorming and creativity to achieve superior research outcomes and enhance research quality.
6. Encouraging Participation in Competitions: We will motivate both undergraduate and graduate students to participate in various practical competitions, fostering self-growth and peer learning opportunities. We also encourage graduate students to present their research at national and international academic conferences to broaden their international perspective and knowledge.
7. Focus Areas for Research Development: To effectively enhance our research capabilities, we will focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, energy and system technology, control and signal processing, communication and optoelectronic technology, semiconductor technology, computer networks, multimedia applications, digital video compression, error correction coding, biomedical engineering, information project management, optoelectronic and communication components, communication systems, and broadband networks. By forming interdisciplinary research groups across different departments and institutes, we aim to expand the research fields of our faculty and subsequently improve teaching quality.
8. Establishing Specialized Laboratories: We will integrate the teaching and research resources of various departments to establish specialized laboratories, providing advanced, valuable, and large-scale equipment for cutting-edge research. This will enable us to achieve substantial research results and establish a strong presence in both domestic and international academic communities.
9. Hosting International Conferences: We will organize international conferences on smart technology-related topics and invite renowned scholars from home and abroad for keynote speeches to enhance technological exchanges.
